Cutting teeth on canonical pieces of Shakespeare, Ibsen, and Chekhov as a queer Texas boy illuminated a striking dichotomy in my work: while the circumstances of the world around us change faster than we can absorb, the longing for love and community prevails beneath every great work. My scripts ask audiences to look at the world, consider what’s working and most importantly what deserves deeper attention within their own life’s story.
